During today's Nintendo Direct, developer Marvelous revealed that the once-titled Project Dragon, now officially titled Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, will be headed to the Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in Spring 2025. As part of the reveal we also got a first look at the ARPG/Life Simulation hybrid's gameplay.

In Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, players will explore the never-before-seen country of Azuma in the role of an Earth Dancer, destined to return hope and life to a once-thriving land. As Earth Dancer, players can farm the land of Azuma as well as restore and rebuild entire villages, staple features of the popular Rune Factory franchise.

Of course, it wouldn't be Rune Factory without some combat as well. New weapons such as the Bow and Talisma allow players to explore Azuma's dungeons with Action RPG-style combat as well as build and cultivate relationships with the locals, even being able to recruit them to join you in battle or help manage your rebuilt villages.

Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma will release on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in Spring 2025.
