Fortnite releases weekly challenges which players can complete to increase their Fortnite battle pass levels and claim rewards. Currently, a quest requires players to hire characters or recruit defeated henchmen. How to hire characters in Fortnite Players can hire a character in Fortnite by offering gold bars. While hiring an NPC in Fortnite is pretty straightforward, the difficult aspect is where to find hireable NPC characters in Fortnite. If you don’t know where to find them, check out this Fortnite map (via Reddit) which you can use to locate a hireable NPC. Not all NPCs in Fortnite can be recruited as an ally though. Currently, only Centurion, Artemis, and Ruckus can be hired in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. Once you locate an NPC, interact with them and offer gold bars to recruit them. Image via Epic Games Recruit defeated henchmen in Fortnite When Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 launched on August 16, players were able to recruit defeated henchmen. However, Epic Games disabled this feature just a couple of hours after the season launched. So, players cannot recruit defeated henchmen in Fortnite currently. It’s strange that the feature is still disabled, but the quest challenge description has not been updated to reflect the change. This has created confusion among Fortnite players, and it remains to be seen whether Epic Games will enable the option again or not. If the feature does come back, players can then recruit defeated Doom henchmen at Doomstadt by interacting with them when they are downed and giving them a “second chance” which will turn the defeated henchmen into an ally.
