Star Wars Outlaws is finally out for everyone on PC and consoles to explore the beautiful open world it offers, featuring Kay Vess as the protagonist in a galaxy far, far away. Amidst everything, you must strike a good balance between frames and quality. Why you ask? Well, enjoying the story at great graphic quality and getting over 60 frames per second is what most players would love. And for a game like Star Wars Outlaws, it makes more sense than ever considering there is so much to explore. With that said, we have suggested some of the best quality and performance settings for Star Wars Outlaws on PC. Best Quality settings for Star Wars Outlaws Screenshot by Destructoid To get the best quality, it's only natural to set most of the settings at their maximum values. Some aspects such as the Upscaling can be set to Quality instead of Native AA, as the difference won't be noticeable. So, here are the best Quality settings for Star Wars Outlaws: Video Display Vertical sync: Off Display Mode: Exclusive fullscreen Resolution: Native resolution of monitor (in my case it was 1920x1080) Cinematic display mode: Fill screen Monitor refresh rate: Your monitor's highest refresh rate (can be 60Hz, 144Hz, or more) Cinematics framerate: Unlocked Frame rate limiter: Off NVIDIA Reflex low latency: On Upscaling Upscaler type: NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation: On Ray Reconstruction: Off Upscaler mode: Fixed Upscaler mode: Quality Graphics Basic Chromatic aberration: On Film grain: On/Off (personal preference) Depth of field: High Motion blur intensity: 7 Camera motion blur intensity: 7 Per-object motion blur intensity: 7 Screenshot by Destructoid Advanced Environment reflection quality: High Fog blur: On Microdetail quality: High Particle quality: High Scatter density: Ultra Shadows Shadow quality: High Shadow proxies: On Spotlight shadows: Many Spotlight shadow quality: Ultra Detail Deformable terrain quality: Ultra Lens and cinematic effects quality: Ultra Extra streaming distance: 80 Object detail: 250 Textures Destruction quality: High Spotlight projection resolution: 512 Terrain tesselation: Ultra Raytracing Raytraced contact shadows: High Raytraced diffused reflections: High Raytraced diffused reflections resolution: High Raytraced specular reflections: High Raytraced specular reflections resolution: High BVH quality: High Volumetric Effects Volumetric fog: Ultra Volumetric clouds: High I have tested these settings on an RTX 3060Ti (8GB of VRAM) and I managed to get around 45 to 75 (rarely 80) frames per second when out in the open world. While inside buildings, there was a slight boost in frames and I managed to get 70 to 85 FPS consistently. Best Performance settings for Star Wars Outlaws Screenshot by Destructoid Coming to our best Performance settings, we will lower most of the settings to medium for a boost in frames. However, there will be a noticeable degradation in quality, but it won't be monumental as some of the settings are set to High. Video Display Vertical sync: Off Display Mode: Exclusive fullscreen Resolution: Native resolution of monitor (in my case it was 1920x1080) Cinematic display mode: Fill screen Monitor refresh rate: Your monitor's highest refresh rate (can be 60Hz, 144Hz, or more) Cinematics framerate: Unlocked Frame rate limiter: Off NVIDIA Reflex low latency: On Upscaling Upscaler type: NVIDIA DLSS Frame Generation: On Ray Reconstruction: Off Upscaler mode: Fixed Upscaler mode: Balanced Graphics Basic Chromatic aberration: On Film grain: On/Off (personal preference) Depth of field: High Motion blur intensity: 5 Camera motion blur intensity: 5 Per-object motion blur intensity: 5 Screenshot by Destructoid Advanced Environment reflection quality: Medium Fog blur: On Microdetail quality: Medium Particle quality: Medium Scatter density: Medium Shadows Shadow quality: Medium Shadow proxies: On Spotlight shadows: Many Spotlight shadow quality: High Detail Deformable terrain quality: Medium Lens and cinematic effects quality: High Extra streaming distance: 0 Object detail: 100 Textures Destruction quality: High Spotlight projection resolution: 256 Terrain tesselation: Medium Raytracing Raytraced contact shadows: Low Raytraced diffused reflections: High Raytraced diffused reflections resolution: Medium Raytraced specular reflections: High Raytraced specular reflections resolution: Very low BVH quality: Low Volumetric Effects Volumetric fog: Medium Volumetric clouds: Low On my RTX 3060Ti, I got around 65 to 85 frames per second outside and 90 to 105 FPS inside buildings, consistently. The balance between frames and quality was maintained and all these were tested at 1080p resolution. If you notice, the jump of FPS from our recommended Quality to Performance settings isn't phenomenal. This means you can tweak the settings to hit a sweet spot in between, without compromising on quality over frames. The post Star Wars Outlaws best PC settings appeared first on Destructoid.
